Bonnie Anderson represents meso patients at a press conference for the MODDERN Cures Act
Mesothelioma warrior Bonnie Anderson (first from the right, in the photo) represented meso patients everywhere this morning at a press conference for the “Modernizing Our Drug and Diagnostics Evaluation and Regulatory Network (MODDERN) Cures Act” with Congressman Leonard Lance in Westfield, NJ. Congressman Lance has introduced the MODDERN Cures Act that seeks to promote the development of meaningful treatments for patients with rare diseases such as mesothelioma. Bonnie, also a constituent of Congressman Lance, shared her experience with mesothelioma and offered her support for the Act.
The Act would modernize our nation’s drug and diagnostics evaluation and regulatory network by encouraging the discovery and development of new treatments for the many diseases that have few or no options. It would also create a system that rewards efficiency and effectiveness to the benefit of all people with chronic diseases.
