Mesothelioma Awareness Day | Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation

Mesothelioma Awareness Day, established by Meso Foundation volunteers in 2004, has been the driving force behind the movement to bring more attention and funding to this cancer.

In the last twelve years, through various activities, the Meso Foundation and its volunteers have been able to obtain "National Mesothelioma Awareness Day" proclamations by both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives, have raised nearly a million dollars, have received local government proclamations in their states and localities, and have received dozens of instances of media coverage for their stories, events, and activities.

Here's how you can participate in Mesothelioma Awareness Day on September 26, 2016!

Help us paint the world blue in mesothelioma awareness. Any blue will do, but if you need something to wear, blue shirts are available at our store here.

As you cover the world in blue awareness, document it with photos, videos, and anything else that can be shared on social media. Share them on your page with a #curemeso tag and be sure to send them to us to share on our page! Send your photos to Beth at

Join Meso Foundation volunteers on Rockefeller Plaza on the morning of September 26 to raise mesothelioma awareness at the Today Show. Our staff member Jill Zajac will be at Rockefeller Plaza to meet volunteers. We would like everyone to arrive at 6:15am. RSVP HERE.

The idea was to portray visually with the color blue the concept of mesothelioma awareness as it widens its reach. Click here to view all of the photos.
