Meet C. Mark Brinkley

C. Mark Brinkley is a senior health communications manager and business leader in the Military Health division of Booz Allen Hamilton, one of the world’s most respected management consulting firms for more than 100 years. He is passionate about health issues affecting active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, and provides strategic counsel to senior clients in the Defense Department and military services surrounding program management, strategic communications, organizational and behavior change management, public health campaigns, and global health engagement.

C. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Marshall University, and has advanced certifications in change management, design thinking, and innovation. He is currently finalizing a graduate certification in organizational change management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and also pursuing a Master of Public Health from the University of South Florida, focused on global health and crisis.

Prior to his move to health consulting in 2010, C. Mark spent more than 14 years in defense communications and marketing, working as a national defense journalist and embedded war correspondent covering the 9/11 terrorist attacks; combat operations in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq; humanitarian assistance operations in Albania, Haiti, and Macedonia; and disaster response efforts for hurricanes and wildfires on both coasts. His work has appeared in Military Times, USA Today, Gannett News Service, Soldier of Fortune and more, and he has been interviewed as an expert on defense issues by CNN, CSPAN, The Washington Post and others.
