Meet Rich DeAugustinis, Director

Rich is the Vice President of Global Communications and Planning for The McDonald’s Division of The Coca-Cola Company. He leads public affairs and communications for Coca-Cola and its global partnership with McDonald’s. He also leads business planning, information technology and acts as the chief of staff for the McDonald’s Division.

Rich brings broad experience to this role from his 28 years with Coca-Cola, the last 21 working in The McDonald’s Division both overseas and in the U.S. He joined Coca-Cola in 1989 in Corporate Engineering. From 1991 to 1996, Rich worked in a range of roles in global marketing focused on sports marketing and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. In 1997, he joined The McDonald's Division in London as Marketing Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Since returning to Atlanta in 2000, Rich has held a range of positions of increasing responsibility in The McDonald’s Division spanning marketing, strategy, planning, new business development and now, public affairs and communications.

Rich serves as the Chairman of the Board for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, a cause which he has supported for over 10 years. He also devotes significant time to mesothelioma advocacy and awareness regarding the dangers of asbestos, in memory of his late wife Tara.

Rich graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and has completed Kellogg Business School’s Executive Development Program at Northwestern University. He resides in Peachtree Corners, Georgia with his daughter Aubrey.
