The meso medical science community continues to acknowledge the Foundation's research grant program as the preeminent independent source of funding for new research. Forty researchers from all around the world applied for grants in 2007. After our scientific review panel of 12 experts carefully reviewed and ranked them all, the Board of Directors voted to fund the top ten projects. This is another $1 million of new research funding, and reflects our deep commitment to research as key to the cure. This brings the total of our funding for research programs from around the globe to over $5 million.
