Facebook’s “See First” – View the content you want to see

Facebook’s news feed — where everything from cat videos to news updates lives  — is constantly changing, and we’re not talking about just the content. In order to give a more “meaningful” experience, the social networking site has changed its algorithms so that you see more posts from your friends and family (user-generated content) and less from the pages you follow (like the Meso Foundation).

Want to ensure you don’t miss posts from the Meso Foundation or any other pages you follow? Facebook also introduced a new tool called “See First,” which allows you to select which pages you’d like to see first in your news feed. Follow these quick instructions to set it up.

Desktop

In Facebook, click on the three horizontal dots next to the News Feed tab in the upper left hand corner of your screen. Click to “Edit Preferences” and then select the box marked “Prioritize who to see first.” You’ll see the people and pages you follow. Filter it to only the pages. Select the page(s) you wish to see first.

Mobile

Go to the page you’re interested in seeing posts from in the Facebook app. Click the “Following” button. Then, after making sure you’ve got the “Get Notifications” option toggled on, choose the option to “See First.”

Note: You will still see posts from pages and people you haven’t selected “See First” for.
