Peer-to-Peer Support Program for mesothelioma patients and families

PEER-TO-PEER SUPPORT

Obtain peer-to-peer support or provide peer-to-peer support

Especially when first diagnosed with mesothelioma, many patients feel isolated. For this reason, the Meso Foundation has developed its Peer-to-Peer Support Program, a support system for mesothelioma patients and their families. Through this program, we identify and connect you with members of our mesothelioma community who “have been there, and have done that.” This service can be helpful during all stages of a mesothelioma diagnosis. For a newly-diagnosed patient, for example, speaking with a peer who has successfully gone through the first bout of treatment may provide hope and inspiration. In addition, this service is also available to caregivers, as well as those who have lost a loved one to meso.
