Nutrition and mesothelioma

This session from our 2025 International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma was filmed on October 25th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Carly Roop, RD, CSO, MA, LDN, from University of Pennsylvania presents on Nutrition and Cancer.

This presentation focuses on the vital role of nutrition in supporting mesothelioma patients and their families during treatment and recovery. It will cover how balanced, nutrient-rich diets can help manage treatment side effects, maintain strength, and support immune function. Participants will learn practical strategies for addressing appetite changes and incorporating foods that promote healing and energy. The session also provides guidance for caregivers on preparing nourishing meals and adapting recipes to meet individual needs. By the end, attendees will understand how thoughtful nutrition can improve quality of life and overall well-being for both patients and their loved ones.

This is a recording of a session at the 2025 International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma.
