Adam Bograd, MD, Board of Directors

Adam Bograd, MD, is a thoracic surgeon based in Seattle, WA, specializing in adult general thoracic surgery and thoracic surgical oncology. He completed his medical school education at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (2008), general surgery at NYU (2015), and thoracic surgery fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (2017). He also completed a formal thoracic oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in adoptive T-cell therapy for thoracic malignancies (2010-2012). Dr. Bograd has been employed as a thoracic surgeon at Swedish Cancer Institute in Seattle, WA since 2017 and has expertise in thoracic surgical oncology, with particular emphasis on locally-advanced lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma. In addition to a robust clinical practice, he maintains an active research portfolio of both clinical outcomes research and translational research. Dr. Bograd is the clinical trials lead for thoracic surgery at Swedish. He is the site PI or Co-PI of multiple clinical trials at his institution along with his medical oncology colleagues.
