Pathways to Advocacy

This session from our 2025 International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma was filmed on October 26th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Melissa Gerard from the Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation presents on Pathways to Advocacy.

This presentation empowers mesothelioma patients and their families to become advocates for research, awareness, and change. It will highlight meaningful ways to get involved—whether through fundraising efforts, community events, or connecting with government representatives to support policies that advance mesothelioma research and patient care. Attendees will also learn how to use social media effectively to raise awareness, share personal stories, and build supportive networks that amplify their voices. By exploring these pathways to advocacy, participants will gain practical tools and inspiration to make a lasting impact in the mesothelioma community and beyond.

This is a recording of a session at the 2025 International Symposium on Malignant Mesothelioma. This symposium is made possible by our generous sponsors: Belluck and Fox, LLP; Dean Omar Branham Shirley, LLP; Maune Raichle Hartley French & Mudd, LLC (MRHFM); The Gori Law Firm; MERCK; AstraZeneca; Early Lucarelli Sweeney & Meisenkothen
