Tunica Vaginalis Mesothelioma

Although mesothelioma is a cancer that most often affects the lining of the lung or abdomen, it can also affect the lining of other organs. When mesothelioma affects the lining of the testes, it is called tunica vaginalis mesothelioma. The tunica vaginalis is the pouch that covers the testes. This type of mesothelioma is thought to be exceedingly rare, though exact incidence numbers are unknown. Treatment for it includes chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, immunotherapy, as well as any combination of those.
